Full Circle Yoga Retreat

Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th September 2022
Kendal, Lake District, Cumbria

A collaboration with The Complete Retreat

Join us for our Full Circle yoga retreat in the beautiful Lake District this autumn. The practice of yoga helps us to find balance, and not just the physical kind! Finding balance can be similar to finding the middle of a circle: we have to play with the boundaries and know where the edges are to know that we’ve found our centre. I will guide yin and yang practices, circle time for meditation, journalling, breathwork and a fire-pit release ceremony. We will be honouring the season and each individual to feel an equal part of the community and surrounding nature.

 

Suzanne will be nourishing you with a fresh, seasonally prepared menu for the weekend, taking care of your nutritional wellbeing and also hosting a cookery workshop. Our therapist Kate is also on hand over the weekend for massages and reflexology during your stay with us.

Friday 23rd 

3-4pm - Arrivals

 

4:30pm - Welcome chat

 

5 pm - 6.30 pm - Hatha flow

A fun, energetic practice with the aim of stoking the inner fire right from the get go. This practice will encourage you to let go of the ego and move from a place of authenticity.

 

6:45pm - Pre dinner drinks

 

7pm - Seasonal Supper

 

9-10:15pm - Restorative practice

If you have ever felt relaxed during yin yoga, just wait for restorative. Relaxation taken to the next level. More support, longer holds and even quieter spaces for you to melt deeply into bliss before bedtime.

 

Saturday 24th

7:30am - Quiet juice

 

7:45-8:30am - Morning meditation

Start the day as we mean to go on, with focus and intention. This practice will be a mix of breathwork, relaxation and meditation techniques.

 

8:30am - Breakfast

 

10am - Cookery workshop with Suzanne

 

11.30 am - 1 pm - Vinyasa Flow

Awaken and enliven the spine as we discover the movements of the spine and how they can benefit us on a physical and an energetic level.

 

1.15 pm - Lunch

 

Free time - afternoon walk - massages. Just relax and do what feels nourishing.

 

7 pm - Seasonal Supper

 

8.30 pm - 10 pm - Evening Flow, Breathwork + Full Body Relaxation

Evening flow, breathwork and relaxation: slip into something a little more comfortable. Forward folds to draw your attention inward, breath practice to slow the nervous system concluding in total body relaxation.

 

Sunday 25th

7:30am - Quiet juice

 

7:45-8:30am - Morning meditation

Start the day as we mean to go on, with focus and intention. This session will be a mix of breathwork, relaxation and meditation techniques.

 

8:30am - Breakfast

 

11:30am-1:30pm - Yin/yang

Our final practice will begin with stillness and an inward focus. Gradually we will build intensity and pace, working with the breath and backbends to open the front body. The practice will come full circle, concluding with stillness and meditation.

Inside out…and back again.

 

Late lunch before

Gathering again for farewells at 3pm

 

We are currently finalising the menu which will be vegetarian and vegan. We also cater for dietary requirements.

I have been working with Suzanne from The Complete Retreat for three years now. We met while I was living and teaching in Manchester. We have led a number of workshops, day retreats and weekend retreats together. We bring the best out in each other and are proud to offer fantastic experiences.
